Cuando estaba de visita en Gallup por trabajo y no encontraba buenas opciones para cenar, La Barranca Restaurant vino a salvar la noche y a prevenir que terminara comiendo en cualquier lugar de comida rapida. Durante mi vista disfrute de comida muy buena y un ambienta agradable. A veces la atencion se sentia muy lenta y la comida se tardo solo un poco mas de lo normal, pero creo que muchos negocios han batallado con este aspecto sobretodo recientemente. Muy buen sazon y buenas opciones de comida, sin embargo esperaba una mayor variedad de comida mexicana. Siento que es mitad mexicano mitad americano (burgers, sandwiches). Lo mas mexicano que tienen es su seleccion de cervezas importadas y su lista de reproduccion de musica. En general es buen lugar para todos los que anden paseando por la antigua ruta 66 asi que si lo recomendaria.
All I can say is wow! We were lucky enough to see Posole as a special and it did not disappoint. The red chile was flavorful and had some heat to it. The posole was tender as were the chunks of pork! The chicken enchiladas which I ordered Xmas (half red, half green chile) was also delicious. The chicken was tender and generously stuffed and I enjoyed the green as much as the red. The guacamole was a nice way to cool the heat and was also delicious. The decor is pretty outdated but who cares when the food is this delicious. My husband had the tacos carnitas and that was delicious as well. Don't miss this place when you are in Gallup. Service was great!
